Dollhouses

Frederick Hahn was one of the most creative and skilled woodworkers in the early Amanas. He was a surveyor, defining property lines when needed, but due to injury with a horse and wagon he turned to woodworking. He was known for his beautiful clocks. He kept very busy due to his great mechanical and technical skills. Hahn also managed to make great toys like dollhouses in his home workshop. It helped occupy his mind and keep the children happy. He made small replicas of Amana furniture, in detail, to fill the houses too! When I was very young, these dollhouses filled my hours with fun and creativity.
